July 28, 2006, 4:30 pm : Thanks to the New Jersey Transit System

I would like to thank the New Jersey transit for such a great time.  If you were on the 12:30 shuttle 69 then I hoped you enjoyed our alcohol induced sing along of old bosefuses “Why do you Drink” as well as having our drummer doing stand up comedy  for the lovely patrons. You were great sports as he was too inebriated to realize that he had been telling the same joke for 7 exits until passing out on a lovely 40 something, stranger next to him.  I think as our band is considered,  our southern accent is directly proportional to our blood alcohol level, especially Jeremy Worden our bass player from California.  Yep his version of Blue Collar Comedy is quite extensive.  So Thank you New Jersey Transit!

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to hop in the Band Van and trip on out.  Well wonder no longer.  Let the not so sweet sent of methane gas fill your nose as the sweet taste of powdered donettes sickens your stomach and your half way there. In a van of six, someone is always busting the wind restriction, quickly followed by a report of the recent transgretions.”someone farted,” “who farted” and it smells like a platapusse just through up, ate it, then discarded it from the other end”  This is about a 3rd of the snappy repartay that fills the van.

From Cory’s MySpace site:

The age of chivilry is not dead,  Its just disheartend.  I by no meands am an expert in all subjects.  But I do enjoy listening and people watching.  And the more I see relationships come and go the more I hear both sides of a coin not being able to see the other.   As for me and My close friends I know we have a primal inate instict to be some kind of savior.  Not that we wake up in the morning and go looking for kittens up trees but in that. looking at past realationships we can see an atraction to something of a damsle in distress.  Someone who has needs exposed.  I think most guys, like girls, need to feel apreciated,  need to feel Needed.  And Thus why we seek out that which we can provide.  The Problem arises whe we realize that we cant fix things.  We have already jumped in with both feet all but promosing to remadie any ailment to our new princes.  but the dragon once staring us in the face is now imuned to any form of  antidote we can offer.  Thus frusteraiting damsil as well as the knight.  I think we are Fighting all new wars here.  And all this to say.  More than not I think were just confused, dissheartend or tierd.  Now hey, This is not an excuse for thouse of you guys that dont open doors,  or pull out chairs.  This is for the girls that have guys with blank looks on their faces, once cunning, sharp and incitfule now drooling and lasidaysical.  Remind them that you need them.  That every once and a wile they can be a successful Knight in shining Armor

From Cory via my voicemail.

Saturday was wild, we had another great practice at the Ultrasound Studios and at night our percussionist was slapped by a pimp that night. More on that later. Wild trip!

From Cory via my voicemail:

Went to play the Black Potato fest and they didn’t have enough sound equipment for us so we rocked out acoustic, hand people dancing and drank some Dogfish Head Ale, got back in the van and headed into NYC.

Got to NYC. Spent time on a roof-top of a buddies building in Manhattan, had a beer looked at the lights and enjoyed the sky.

Woke up early went to Ultrasound studio for rehearsal, had lunch, visited ground zero. Had a blast!

From Cory via my voicemail while he is on the road:

Last 3 days have been crazy, took an all night trip from Kansas into Cleveland for our gig at the Beachland ballroom, got in 6 hours practice and had some great Scotties pizza. Phenominal pizza!

Played a great show, made some great new friends, hopped back into the band, threw a mattress in the back and drove all night to New Jersey to a Holiday Inn, the air conditioning and the commode both broke. We are playing the Black Potatoe fest.
